Visitor Policy
As a friendly reminder, all Manteca Unified schools have a strict visitor policy. To ensure the safety of students and staff, we ask that all visitors enter through the school's office building and present valid identification every time.
Parents wishing to visit a classroom must make arrangements with their child’s teacher and the principal ahead of time. For more information on our Visitor Policy, please refer to the Parent Handbook.

NEW Schools Coming Soon to Manteca Unified
| |
|
Manteca Unified School District is thrilled to share some exciting news: We’re building two brand-new TK-8 elementary schools—one in Manteca, south of Highway 120, and the other in Lathrop!
While these sites were initially planned for early education programs, the district has recognized our recent growth and shifted gears to prioritize full TK-8 schools. This decision not only addresses the needs of our expanding student population but is also supported by potential changes in state facilities funding that could enhance our pursuit of new school construction funding.
We’ll be rolling out these projects in phases over the next three years, and we can’t wait to keep you updated on our progress.

Seniors, did you know you can start applying to college? | |
As high school students prepare for college applications this fall, we want to remind you of an important step that may help reduce some of the costs involved. By completing the Student & School Benefits Form (SSBF), you may qualify for waived college application fees – a benefit that could ease the financial burden of applying to college.
Completing the SSBF is simple and takes just a few minutes. Parents can submit it through their Q Parent Connect account or download the form from the MUSD website (www.mantecausd.net/ssbf) and email it to community@musd.net. You may also print the form, fill it out, and turn it in at school. The information you share is kept confidential and can potentially qualify you for these benefits!
Please don’t wait! Submit the SSBF as soon as possible to take advantage of these opportunities during college application season.

Safety around school buses is crucial to keeping students and other road users safe. In the spirit of School Bus Safety Month, here are some tips for drivers to be safe around school buses!
STOP for Flashing Lights:
In a two-lane roadway, when you see a school bus with its red lights flashing and its stop sign extended, come to a complete stop. This applies to both directions of traffic. By law, you must wait until the bus resumes motion and the red lights stop flashing. In a roadway with two or more lanes in both directions and/or a median, only the vehicles traveling in the same direction as the bus must stop. Vehicles traveling in the opposite direction of the bus may proceed with caution.
Keep a Safe Following Distance:
Maintain a safe following distance when driving behind a school bus. This allows you to stop safely if the bus makes a stop.
Be Patient:
Remember that the safety of children is paramount. Be patient and courteous when sharing the road with school buses.
Danger Zones:
We also want to highlight the importance of the “School Bus Danger Zone,” which extends 12 feet in all directions from the bus. This is a high-risk area where serious injuries can occur. Students must follow the designated safe paths when boarding and exiting the bus. Parents, please stay clear of the danger zones and avoid standing close to the bus and its doors.
See below to learn where it is and isn’t safe to walk when approaching and exiting a school bus.

Indigenous Peoples Day
October 14
| |
Indigenous Peoples' Day is a celebration that honors the rich cultures, history, and contributions of Native communities. Observed on October 14th, it highlights the strength and resilience of Indigenous peoples while promoting awareness and appreciation of their lasting impact on society.
At Manteca Unified, our “Title VI Indian Education” program is a federal program committed to supporting the unique cultural, language, and educational needs of Native youth. Through a variety of offerings—such as cultural enrichment activities, take-home activities, family engagement nights, monthly parent advisory committee meetings, and summer programs focused on cultural identity—we aim to foster both academic success and a deeper connection to cultural heritage. By blending education with cultural awareness, our goal is to empower students to thrive academically while celebrating and preserving their rich cultural traditions.
