This week’s MUSED HOUSTON is arriving a day early because Tuesday is packed with must-see art events—including three fantastic openings featuring Tay Butler, Iris Salmins, and an artist dialogue with Trevor Paglen at the Moody Center.

Plus, I’m adding something new: a mid-week Wellness Walk on Wednesday! If you need a break from gallery hopping, join Urban Paths at Buffalo Bayou Park for a refreshing community walk—perfect for recharging before more art-filled adventures.

From opening receptions to late nights at the museum, there’s something for everyone this week. Get out there and support local art!

Follow @MUSEDHouston for real-time updates and reminders! And, as always, please share this newsletter with friends and colleagues who appreciate art, and encourage them to subscribe and join our community of art enthusiasts.

PSSST: If you are a David Lynch film buff like me, don't miss seeing Mulholland Drive at MFAH! It screens twice this week!

Bach Society Houston hosts the solo Houston performance of this renowned boys' choir Thomanerchor Leipzig (St. Thomas Choir of Leipzig) as part of an eight-city USA Tour.

Founded in 1212, the St. Thomas Choir of Leipzig has captivated audiences for over 800 years. As one of Europe’s most distinguished boys’ choirs, they hold a unique connection to Johann Sebastian Bach, who served as the choir’s director from 1723 to 1750. The choir's current director Thomaskantor Andreas Reize is the 18th music director since Bach’s tenure and the first Swiss conductor to lead the choir.
