Plan Your Arts Weekend: Wednesday thru Sunday
It's Labor Day weekend, and the Houston art scene is gearing up for its unofficial start of its already very packed Fall Art Season, which launches NEXT WEEK.
So, rest this weekend, go to whatever art events you can find (and hit up those shows that are closing you have been meaning to see!), and check out my website to start figuring out how in the heck you will attend even a few of the art openings during September 5–7? Prioritize, folks; that's what I do. You can't see everything on opening night, so figure out where you need to be "seen" first (ha ha), then make plans to visit the others during public hours.
Stay tuned for my inaugural FALL PREVIEW GUIDE! If you haven't submitted your events yet for September through November, you might be too late, but I am making finishing touches now, if you want your events to be considered for inclusion. Of course, there will be advertising opportunities! Contact me!
As always, please invite your friends to subscribe to this weekly MUSED Houston Art Events newsletter AND to check out my online calendar for the more complete list of visual art events happening in Houston!
P.S. What events did you attend last week? I had hoped to go to everything (!), but I was able to attend an Ice House Radio session at Brasil, the author event at The Menil Collection, the anniversary party at HTX Clay, Jaymes Earl's show at the Jung Center, and the closing reception at Meive Art of "Unbound."
