We are working on Raffle Prizes! Do you have a prize that you would like to donate for our Annual Raffle Drawing?
Every year we have a Raffle Drawing to raise money for the Annual Children's Christmas Party and to provide local non profits with grant money. In the past, we have had anything from a one night stay and wine tour at a local vineyard to a fishing excursion on the Oregon Coast. We will begin selling raffle tickets in August so we can have ample time to raise money. If you have a raffle prize that you would like to donate, please contact Jean Wheat-Palm

My year as Special Events Chair has been an interesting one to say the least. Our Annual Member Appreciation BBQ is no longer an option due to the parks not being open. However, your special events committee wants to CELEBRATE and APPRECIATE our members.
Together we have been discussing some other possibilities on how we can celebrate you! Watch for further announcements coming soon!
I am glad for the nice weather and the ability to be outside while still being guided through this pandemic. Have a wonderful summer and we look forward to actually "seeing" you all soon.

Property Tours

At this time we have postponed the Silverton area property tour meeting and tour until further notice. We feel that we have a large number of vulnerable individuals in our area and one of the most responsible things we can do to help slow the spread in our community is to suspend in-person tours.

Putting Members First
With the Right Tools, Right Now
In light of the challenges presented by  COVID-19 , and its impact on the real estate industry, NAR is taking steps to support members through these uncertain times. The Right Tools, Right Now initiative, which was activated once before in 2009, makes new and existing NAR products and services available for  FREE or at significant discounts  – right now – and is available to REALTORS®. Find out more here.
Coronavirus: A Guide for REALTORS®

The COVID-19 pandemic is impacting members in unprecedented ways, and raises numerous unique and novel issues for the real estate industry. Through this guidance, NAR aims to respond to commonly asked questions, and to empower members to successfully navigate their real estate businesses during these challenging, and continually evolving, circumstances.

Commercial Real Estate: Commercial Digest, June 29, 2020
The June issue of the Commercial Digest is out and has some great information on the quickly changing landscape during the pandemic.

In the latest Commercial Investment Real Estate podcast episode, Despina Katsikakis, head of occupier business performance at Cushman & Wakefield, details best practices on reopening workplaces. Discussion includes adapting offices to comply with social distancing guidelines, improving air quality, and optimizing workspaces. In addition, she shares how commercial real estate professionals can be proactive in their preparations for a changed office sector post-COVID. Listen to the episode.

With restaurants across the country closing their doors this spring to dine-in operations due to COVID-19, many have been essentially operating as “ghost kitchens” – facilities that contain the necessary kitchen equipment to facilitate off-site food preparation and cooking solely for on-demand food delivery. A recent Commercial Market Insights Report published by NAR examines how restaurants have pursued this path as a means to manage the demand for delivery services, increase efficiency, and reduce rent and labor costs.  Read the full report .

Spring/Summer 2020: Tax Savings for Building Owners

Coronavirus Guidance: Commercial Real Estate

COVID-19 and its long reaching effects continue to change the way we conduct our everyday business, and commercial real estate practitioners continue to adapt to these changes on a daily basis.
The resource guide Commercial REALTORS® is updated daily to navigate the changing landscape in the industry.

NAR's Advocacy Work Towards COVID-19 Relief

We are also in constant communication with industry partners to ensure there remains a united front defending the real estate industry and minimizing transaction disruptions during these very difficult times.
As the actions out of Washington evolve daily , below is a list of ongoing NAR Advocacy efforts that will be updated regularly. Find the full report here!
