NO SCHOOL – MARCH 5 & 6

Mid-Winter Break has been extended to include Thursday, March 5 and Friday, March 6. This aligns with past school calendars, and two days will be incorporated into next year’s Mid-Winter Break as well.

MVC remains well within the State of Washington’s required instructional days and hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this delayed decision may cause in your planning.

WELCOMING DR. PAUL BOOTSMA

We’re pleased to share that Dr. Paul Bootsma is beginning his transition into the superintendent role at Mount Vernon Christian School this month. During March, he will be on campus part-time attending meetings and connecting with staff and students.

He will officially begin serving full-time on April 13, following Spring Break.

If you see Dr. Bootsma at an event, please take a moment to introduce yourself and welcome him to MVC. Please join us in praying for a smooth and blessed transition.

We invite all families to attend our Annual Association Meeting as we reflect on God’s faithfulness over the past year and look ahead with vision and purpose.

During this important gathering, we will share ministry and school updates, review financial reports, participate in Board elections, and vote on key matters that help guide the mission of our school.

Please note: Only Association members are eligible to vote.

We hope you will join us for this meaningful evening in the life of our school community.

AUCTION GRADE COMPETITION – APRIL 25

As part of Mount Vernon Christian School’s Annual Auction on Saturday, April 25, each grade group is creating a themed Live Auction package — and the class whose item raises the most money will win a special reward!

Themes by Grade:

K–3: Winter Wonderland Adventure
4–6: Sun-Soaked Summer Escape
7–8: All-Star Sports Experience
9–12: Great Outdoors Camping Expedition

Each group has an Amazon Wish List to make donating easy (links below).

Items purchased from the list ship directly to MVC. You may also donate items or give financially toward your class package.
