Sophomore Career Days at MVCTC

MVCTC welcomed 3,124 sophomore students from 26 partner schools during the Sophomore Career Days, held from December 3 to 5. This event allowed visiting sophomores to explore two career technical programs and offer hands-on lab experiences to help them decide whether to apply for the 2025-2026 school year.

On December 5, MVCTC hosted its annual Sophomore Open House, allowing interested students and their families to visit any career technical program, engage with lab instructors, and get their questions answered.

Student Ambassadors, Gabriela Heart (Vandalia-Butler), Eleanor Tousignaut (Preble-Shawnee), Brielle Smith (Tri-Village), Kathryn Wilcox (Huber Heights), Antonio Duran (Tipp City), Kaiden Click (Carlisle), Jaxon Hickman (Valley View), and Ryan Ward (Ansonia), greeted visitors and provided valuable information during the event.

Electrical Trades Class Thanks Vandalia Rental for Generous Donation

The MVCTC Electrical Trades Junior class thanks Vandalia Rental for their generous donation of a 19-ft solid surface scissor lift to the Electrical Trades Lab. The equipment was available for use from December 11-19, 2024.

Thanks to Bryan DeVilbiss, Southwest Regional Sales Representative for Vandalia Rental, for coordinating and scheduling the donation. This invaluable resource has allowed junior and senior students to learn how to safely inspect and operate equipment commonly used in the electrical and construction industries.
