Ready, Set, Compost

You can reduce plastic bag use substantially (52 bags per year or more!) by diverting your food scraps (wet garbage) to the compost or green bin and skipping the plastic trash bag in the kitchen garbage can. You’d be surprised how well a single paper grocery bag can hold your trash once you have dry garbage.

Not sure about what goes in your green bin? Check here to find out from the experts in your area:  Mill Valley Refuse and Tam Valley Community District
