Teens E-Bike Smart

E-Bike Street Skills and Safety Course


April 26, from 2:15 to 4:15pm

Grades 6-8

Mill Valley Middle School, 425 Sycamore Ave

$100 per student. Scholarships are available. No student will be turned away.

Teens E-Bike Smart is a course designed for teens to learn how to ride an electric bike safely and confidently on the street. The course will cover understanding traffic laws and regulations, defensive cycling techniques, and how to navigate intersections safely.


  • E-Bike Safety - Learn about rules of the road, bike handling and emergency maneuvers specific to heavier and faster e-bikes.
  • Hands on Practice - Go for a ride with instructors certified through the League of American Bicyclists and learn about route choice, e-bike specific considerations and handling.
  • Maintenance 101 - Feel confident before every ride by learning to check your brakes, chain and tire pressure.


Please bring your own Class 1 or 2 E-Bike with working brakes, inflated tires and clean chain, and a helmet. No e-bike? No problem. Contact zoe@marinbike.org

The various communities within Marin County are working together to update Marin County’s Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. As part of this community planning process, we are asking for community input to ensure that the proposed mitigation projects and vulnerabilities have alignment with the community’s existing perceptions and expectations. There are two initial ways to give us your thoughts and priorities:
