Update on City Manager Recruitment
At their meeting on Monday, April 18, 2022, the City Council received an update from Human Resources Manager Seth Allingham on the City Manager recruitment process. Heather Renschler, President/CEO of Ralph Andersen & Associates has solicited feedback on desired qualifications and experience from Council, City staff and members of the community. We thank everyone that took the time to share their input. She has been working to develop a candidate profile and recruitment brochure, which we anticipate will be released by Monday, April 25 to kick off the 4 week recruitment period. April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month
Our MVPD officers will be enforcing distracted driving laws, so please put your phone away and "Just Drive." At 55 mph, a 4-second text takes your eyes off the road for the length of a football field! Distracted driving can be deadly.
And.... April is also Drug Take Back Month!
Every year, about two million people end up in the hospital due to drug-related injuries, including medication errors, adverse drug reactions, and overdoses. To properly dispose of your prescriptions, either drop off or mail back your unwanted or expired medications. Find locations and more info here.
