Housing Elelement Online Survey and Upcoming Workshop - February 16, 2022 - As part of the the Housing Element Update, the City must demonstrate it can successfully accommodate new homes on land within City limits at a range of household incomes.

Take the Survey: City staff is currently working to identify land use and housing strategies and identify those properties that can help the City plan for make room for new housing. Please tell us your thoughts and provide your input on possible housing strategies by taking this survey and attending the February workshop. 500 Miller Avenue Update
The project located at 500 Miller includes nine attached single-family residential units and a two-story 4,948 square foot commercial building. The project team has completed a re-bid of the underground utilities to move forward with Phase 1 construction.
With new contractor Unger Construction at the helm, Planning and Building Department staff expect construction to start the beginning of March, with construction crews completing the grading work and installing underground utilities. Read the rest of the update here.

Council to Consider Public/Private Partnership for Golf Course Management
In order to protect, preserve and revitalize Mill Valley’s historic and beloved 9-hole municipal Golf Course, the City Council will consider a Management Agreement with Touchstone Golf LLC at their upcoming meeting on February 22, 2022. The proposed Management Agreement is the next step in the formation of a new public/private partnership that will include the City, non-profit groups, private fundraising and an experienced Golf Course operator. The goal for all involved is to work together to create a Golf Course that is accessible, affordable, inclusive, environmentally responsible, multi-purpose, and financially stable. East Blithedale Project Update
In the next few months, Phases 1 - 3 of the East Blithedale Project will be underway. Phase 1 includes the section east of Camino Alto and is planned be paved later this Spring. Phases 2 & 3 includes the section west of Camino Alto. Construction is expected to start as early as April, 2022 and will consist of pavement repairs, new ADA ramps, new rapid flashing beacons at crosswalks, storm drain system improvements, sewer main repair, and curb and gutter repair.
