The City of Mill Valley has partnered with EAH Housing to evaluate the northern portion of 1 Hamilton Drive as a possible site to build affordable rental homes for the community. The housing team is kicking-off the initial information gathering and site planning phase by hosting its first community workshop. Your input is important to us and we invite you join us. East Blithedale Project Update
City Council awarded Coastland Civil Engineering the construction management and public outreach for Phase 2 & 3 of the East Blithedale Project (Camino Alto to Sunnyside). Coastland and AIM Consulting, the public engagement firm, will provide full public outreach efforts and will be responsible for communicating to the public the project status, enforcing traffic safety measures during construction, and keeping the project on schedule. Read more about the project, including upcoming construction dates, here.
Mill Valley State of the City Presentation
At their meeting on February 15, 2022, the Mill Valley Rotary Club received a presentation from Mayor John McCauley, City Manager Alan Piombo, and Police Chief Rick Navarro on areas of interest to Mill Valley community members. Topics included wildfire preparedness, evacuation planning, affordable housing, facilities and infrastructure, COVID-19 impacts, City finances, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) and community engagement. In honor of Women's History Month, we celebrate Jacquie Phelan, the feminist fat tire legend who kicked down the door to what was a mostly male-dominated club in the early 1980s. Mountain bike pioneers Charlie Kelly, Charlie Cunningham, Gary Fisher, and Otis Guy will join Jacquie as they share memories and stories from the early days of the Bay Area mountain biking scene, including Phelan's many accomplishments.

MVPD Visits Cub Scout Pack 34
Officer Schmidt and School Resource Officer/Detective Lovos had the opportunity to attend our local Cub Scout Pack 34's Pack meeting. The young scouts got the chance to ask a wide range of questions, which covered many different topics. The MVPD would like to thank Pack 34 for giving us the opportunity to meet some of the young minds who are the future of this community.
