Downtown Project - Phase III of the Downtown Project is expected to begin February 21, 2023. Interstate Paving and Grading Inc. will start laying out the utility markings and construction staking along Throckmorton Avenue and Miller Avenue to replace the concrete sidewalks and widen the median at Lytton Square. East Blithedale Project - Check out the latest on the roadway rehabilitation project here. Work crews will continue the concrete work Downtown. Flagged one-way traffic control is in effect and street parking on East Blithedale Avenue is available opposite the construction. Stay up to date by signing up for our eNewsletter here.


Roque Moraes Drive Guardrail - February 21-24 Midstate Barrier, Inc. will install a guardrail along the south side of Roque Moraes Drive between Roque Moraes Court and Millay Place to improve safety. During this work, there will be occasional lane closures and one-way traffic control with a flagger.

575 E. Blithedale - "Richardson Terrace" Appeal

On January 24, 2023, Mr. Robert Silvestri of Community Venture Partners, Inc. filed an appeal of the Planning Commission action to approve the mixed-use project referred to as “Richardson Terrace”. The appeal is scheduled for the March 6, 2023, City Council meeting. The meeting will take place at 5:30pm at Mill Valley City Hall. Lower Half of Manzanita Park and Ride Lot in Tam Valley To Close Due to Projected High Tides - Caltrans maintenance will close the lower half of the Manzanita Park and Ride lot, along with the shoulder parking on State Route-1, in the city of Mill Valley from Thursday, Feb. 16 through Wednesday, Feb. 22 due to forecasted hightide flood warnings. Black History Month - At their February 6, 2023 meeting, the Mill Valley City Council declared the month of February 2023 as Black History Month. From the proclamation:


"Mill Valley City Council calls upon all the people of Mill Valley to honor the too-often neglected accomplishments of Black Americans in every area of endeavor throughout the history of the United States and the history of Mill Valley, to recognize the contributions made by members of the Black community and to actively promote the principles of equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion for all." Prom Clothes Needed - Donate your pre-loved formalwear today! Every spring, at the PTSA-sponsored "Tam High Prom Pop-Up," students can browse the racks of gently used formal wear and take home something special to make them feel elegant on their big night. Everything they take home is FREE because of your kind donations. Now through April 10, they're taking donations for clean, new or gently-worn formal and semi-formal attire and accessories for men and women. Please drop items in the donation box at the Mill Valley Community Center, or contact Stephanie Young for more info.

Planning is underway for the wildly popular annual arts festival hosted on September 23rd and 24th in Mill Valley’s historic Old Mill Park.
