1 Hamilton Update: Council Approves Relocation of Facilities, City Hosts Open House in October
The City of Mill Valley is currently partnering with EAH Housing to explore the feasibility of building approximately 40-50 affordable rental apartments on the northern portion of 1 Hamilton Drive. On September 19, City Council directed planning staff to pursue relocating existing facilities located on the northern portion of 1 Hamilton to make room for affordable housing. Congratulations To Our Newest SMFD/MVF Firefighters - SMFD/MVF is proud and honored to report on September 15, 2022 all eight of our newest employees have successfully completed their 18 month probationary periods and testing process.

PG&E Surveying Powerlines by Helicopters - Through the end of October, PG&E crews will survey electrical equipment, and the nearby vegetation, in 25 counties throughout Northern and Central California to spot and prevent potential wildfire risk. The Mill Valley Police Department would like to invite all Tam High and Mill Valley Middle School students to apply to be member of the Mill Valley Youth Advisory Committee - YAC. The goal of YAC is to civically engage students with our community, and for the students to have the opportunity to collaborate with community leaders to address teens concerns. East Blithedale Project Update
Work is ongoing to rehabilitate the roadway and give the community a better driving surface. Work is nearing completion to repair the aging sewer system to provide better sewage flows for residences and businesses. Check out the latest update.

The Mill Valley Historical Society Presents: Ghost Ships of the San Francisco Bay with Pat Broderick - How many shipwrecks lie scattered on the floor of the Bay, or in nearby waters or landfill? Few of us are aware of these relics from San Francisco’s maritime past, many forgotten for a century or more. This evening’s talk will visit some of the steam schooners, Gold Rush ships, Golden Gate wrecks, and U.S. Navy ships that forever remain “ghosts” in our waters, if not in our memories. Join us on Wednesday, October 5th at 7pm for this virtual event on zoom. Learn about Changes Coming for November Election
The Marin County Elections Department will host a virtual public workshop Thursday, September 29, at 6:00 pm to educate voters in advance of the November 8 general election about changes implemented with the Voter’s Choice Act. The videoconference will be close-captioned. Interpreters will be available in Chinese (Mandarin), Spanish, Vietnamese, ASL, and CDI. Learn more and register in advance for the workshop.
