Mu Variant: Is there a concern? You may have heard about the Mu variant in the news recently. Right now, this variant is steadily decreasing and causing very few cases in the United States. In Marin, only three cases have been identified so far, all collected in early July 2021 and none since then. Read the County of Marin update here.
The Scoop on Boosters - On September 17, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Vaccine and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBAC) recommended the FDA issue Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for a booster dose of the Pfizer for people 65 and older or those at risk of serious disease — six months after completing their first dose. East Blithedale Project Construction Update - Argonaut Constructors will be installing new storm drains and traffic signal conduits on East Blithedale Avenue between US 101 and Camino Alto.
Downtown Demonstration Project - As part of the Downtown Project, the City will be testing temporary traffic changes at two intersections to evaluate their potential for improving safety. Take part in the survey starting 9/27. Phase II of the Downtown Project is in it's final stages upgrading curb ramps for ADA compliance and pedestrian bulb-outs.
Camino Alto / Sycamore Traffic Signal Replacement Project Update - Construction has been completed toupgrade the traffic signals, pedestrian and cyclist push buttons and sidewalk/accessible ramps at the intersection of Camino Alto/Sycamore Ave adjacent to Mill Valley Middle School.
