It is an honor to be a Purple Star School and have the ability to support our military families as we thank and pray for them always.

This month is known as the Month of the Military Child. We remember the needs of all military children as they go through various stages and changes sharing their parents with us as they serve our country both near and far.

On Thursday, April 17, Preschool will be having a minimum day for staff's Professional Development to work on their NLSA accreditation assignments. Half day students will be picked-up at their usual 11:30am time, and Full-day students need to be picked up by noon. however, we encourage all families to attend MVLCS Maundy Thursday chapel service at 11:45am that morning.

Our MVLCS Endowment has reached a new milestone! We've made our first annual disbursement from earnings.

After just one year of operations, the MVLCS Endowment has a balance of over $50,000 and has produced a disbursement for the 2024 calendar year of $619 as follows:

• $300 for continuing education for one of our elementary school teachers working on her Masters degree
• $319 added to the MVLCS tuition assistance fund

While those amounts aren't very large right now, just imagine what we will be able to do as the endowment grows! Each year the funds in the endowment are invested to grow and produce income. At the end of the calendar year, 75% of the income earned is disbursed to support one of three areas of ministry: 

a. Education & Scholarships 

b. Building & Campus Improvements 

c. Outreach Ministries & Missions

Donations, capital gains, and the other 25% of the annual income stay in the endowment to continue to grow the base (called the corpus) to produce more income for the following years. This is what makes the MVLCS Endowment a true gift for today and tomorrow's generations.

GriefShare is a support group that can help you move through the grief process. It is a 13-week program that will be meeting in the Mt. Potosi Room (Art Room) on Saturdays from 10:00am-12:00pm.

This is a free support group for anyone who is dealing with grief. We encourage you to register beforehand here, or by clicking the button below. Registration will also be available on-site before all of the meetings.

Heavenly Father, as we conclude this season of Lent, we offer a prayer of thanksgiving and praise.  Thank you for your goodness and mercy proved through your wonderous plan of salvation. We praise you for your steadfast love poured out to us through the sacrifice of your only Son, Jesus. so that we may receive forgiveness of sin and have eternal life with you. Thank you for your grace that sustains us each and every day. We offer you praise in the name of Jesus, our King of kings and Lord of lords. Amen.
