Fall is Time for Fun!

Grandparents Day for Elementary Families at MVLS

Wednesday, September 14th from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

We look forward to welcoming onto our campus our students' grandparents and special friends on Wednesday, September 14. 

The day starts at 8:30 a.m. and will allow you the chance to see examples of what life is like here at MVLS. The day will conclude for the Elementary guests after Chapel, which will be moved to 10:30 a.m. for that day only.

Preschool grandparents and families are welcome to attend the preschool chapel @9:30 a.m. Please note that no additional activities are scheduled for preschool. 

Welcome parents, grandparents, kids, friends, and families!

Join us for the 2022 Mountain View Lutheran Church & School Picnic on September 17, 2022. It will be at 4:00 PM at Mountain Crest Park 4701 N. Durango, LV, NV 89129. 

Please bring your own drinks, chairs, and/or blankets to sit on as we will have use of Structure A onsite. We will provide the main dish of brats and buns, and hope to have you bring a dish to share.

News on Construction...

Thank you to the many of you in our MVL Community who came together to help us clear out the rooms in May, get us back in the renovated classrooms the day before the first day of school, and have been continuing to jump in and help with assembly of different items! I say it truthfully and sincerely - y'all are what makes MVLCS a true community built on the love of Jesus Christ to us and to one another!

We now have full occupancy of the Downstairs area, which houses the Youth Room, Bible Study Room, Lounge, bathrooms, Science Lab, Computer Lab and Library. We are continuing to furnish these rooms, even as we continue to move items into the classrooms from storage. We are also continuing to have the smaller remodel items resolved and will soon be checking off rooms for their full completion as we go into September.

If you weren't able to attend Back-to-School Night or haven't yet seen the remodeled rooms, including Downstairs, I invite you to our formal Dedication and Blessing of the Remodel on Sunday, September 25, as part of our worship services and in between those services.

Looking for a job?

The Elementary School is currently seeking to fill some part time classroom positions (i.e., classroom aide and substitutes).

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS

to join the Events Planning Committee to help and plan the following events:

- School and Church Picnic - Saturday, September 17th

- Harvest Festival - Saturday, October 15th

- Breakfast with Santa - Saturday, December 10th 

- Spring Gala - April 2023 and many other exciting   events! 

Please note you can volunteer in numerous ways such as: pre-planning, helping gather donations, onsite volunteering with set up, at the event, tear down and any many other ways!  

The first meeting will be this Thursday, September 1st from 8:30am – 9:30am. 

We will be meeting in person at school in the Art Room.
