Upcoming MVNA Board Meetings:

July 25 at 6:00pm

August 24 at 6:00pm

Board Member News: We thank Steve Pine, board treasurer and NLA rep, and Jane Loveday, business outreach, for their service on the MVNA board. You will be missed and we appreciate all the time and effort you gave to serve MVNA. We welcome Liz Lotochinski as a new board member, and Beth Hoover is returning for another term!

Bylaws Approval: The MVNA bylaws have been updated but their approval was mistakenly left off the June 16 ballot. We will call a special vote at either our August or September meeting. Key changes include accommodations for virtual meetings and clarifications of board roles and leadership positions. Please review the bylaws here in preparation to vote for their approval.

Fireworks Ban Reminder

With summer approaching, we ask our MVNA neighbors to remember that all fireworks are banned in Bend. This includes personal fireworks that were allowed in the past. With the persistent dry conditions, let's all do our part to prevent fires in Bend.

Houselessness Updates

  • Outdoor High Barrier Shelter Proposed for 62010 SE 27th St., Bend, OR 97701. The City Council approved the proposal for this on June 1. See the City webpage Outdoor Shelters for specific information on this new proposed shelter.

Slow Down Yard Signs

The increased pedestrian and bicycle traffic on our streets with the summer season makes a good time to remind folks to drive slowly in our neighborhoods!

Email us for a yard sign.

NLA representative: We have three applicants who have applied to be our new NLA rep. The City Council will finalize the selection of the new NLA rep at their July 20th meeting. The Neighborhood Leadership Alliance (NLA) consists of one representative from each of the 13 City Neighborhood Associations who meet monthly with City representatives to encourage and maintain communication between the City and the 13 NAs.

Neighborhood Liaison News

Don't forget to check the Liaison News page on our MVNA website for updates. and resources like the graffiti reporting reference guide, street safety request process, Citizen Service Requests, and the Neighborhood Safe Streets Program (NSSP).

MVNA Transportation Projects

Representatives from the City of Bend in charge of the Purcell Expansion project attended the June 16th Event at Al Moody Park. We were able to see the plans for the extension and ask questions. We hope to host a community open house regarding this project as well as the roundabout at Wells Acres and Butler Market, as soon as the teams are ready. In the meantime we will continue to post updates to our website.
