Spring Service Change

Starting Saturday, February 18th

The upcoming MVTA Spring Service Change will include better connections to the Blue Line LRT via Route 436 and Route 446; diverts Route 480, Route 484, and Route 489 in St. Paul away from Broadway in favor of Sibley and Wacouta; and adds trip times to Route 420 and Route 460 to accommodate customer demand. e-Jest Minibus

Europe's best-selling minibus - built in Türkiye and electrifying the game in Minnesota. Minnesota Valley Transit Authority will lead the first revenue vehicle demo of an e-Jest vehicle in the country.

The bus is fully electric and will be a model for suburban transit. You may see us testing it out as a Connect vehicle before it travels to Washington, DC to show how MVTA is leading the way in transit.

January Board Meeting

We were happy to welcome our Board of Commissioners, staff, and community members to our board room on January 18th for the first in-person meeting since 2020.

Thank you, Mayor Bill Droste and Councilmember Gene Abbott, for your service on the Board. Additionally, congratulations Councilmember Stacy Crack and Paul Essler were also sworn in this night.

County Road 42 BRT Study

We are leading a study to determine feasibility and gather community input for implementing a BRT line along County Road 42 between Marschall Road Transit Station and Dakota County Technical College. The purpose of this survey is to understand the needs and priorities for our current, past, and future/potential users of BRT on the County Road 42 corridor. Your input will shape a potential BRT line and ensure it meets community needs. We want to hear your thoughts! Click the link below to provide feedback.

MVTA at the Capitol

MVTA was at the Capitol for the Suburban Transit Association (STA) Legislative Breakfast at the capital on January 30th.

Luther Wynder, MVTA CEO, was proud to testify at the House and Senate Transporation Committees for Transit Equity Day. Each year, Transit Equity Day takes place on Rosa Parks' birthday to honor her role in the fight for Transit Equity. His testimony can be viewed here (39:00-43:30).
