Dear colleagues,

The MWA Governance Committee invites you to submit nominations for the MWA Board of Directors. MWA's board is industry-led and comprised of representatives from the private sector, workforce boards, career centers, labor, business associations, and other organizations representing education, CBOs, youth serving organizations, and economic development organizations. Board members are selected for three-year terms and are invited to participate on any of four committees: Governance, Finance, Membership and Public Policy.

We seek to have a diverse board that represents a cross-section from all regions of the state. As terms for existing Board members end, the Governance Committee will nominate new members to our Board. MWA wants to have a robust list to draw nominations from, and so we encourage you to share this nomination information with colleagues who you think would be a good fit. In addition, please feel free to submit your own nominations.

Here is the MWA board member job description and here is the link to the online nomination form. Nominations can be submitted on a rolling basis throughout the year. This year, with the traditional in-person annual meeting being postponed, it is currently unclear how many new board members the Committee might consider for the Board’s June meeting.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Tonja directly anytime.
