MESSAGE FROM THE MWCABC PRESIDENT
On behalf of the MWCABC Board and myself, I want to take this opportunity to celebrate all our warriors, survivors, supporters, volunteers, miracle workers, researchers and health care professionals who support the mission and vision of the Coalition. I especially want to thank our community who supports us both financially and emotionally and is essential in facilitating our cause. The Coalition will continue to support research that will change the direction and course of the disease and to offer support and resources to women in need. As noted in this newsletter, the many wonderful, committed and caring efforts of all in facilitating the Coalition efforts have been and continue to be tremendous.  We are Eternally Grateful. Thank You!

With Gratitude,

Susan Neville, PHD, RN
President and VP Research
EVENTS & HAPPENINGS
Ladies' Night Out 2022
The Annual 26th Ladies' Night Out, chaired by Paula Chiarucci, was a resounding success this year after a hiatus due to the Covid Pandemic. The fundraiser was held on October 19, 2022 at Leonard's Palazzo in Great Neck where the event was sold out with over 450 attendees. Great food and an open bar contributed to the party atmosphere in the Grand Ballroom. The evening followed a tight schedule which began with vendor shopping, presentation of Research Grant Proposal Funding to the Three Researchers Cycle 2022, followed by a magnificent silent auction chaired by Joy Sargent and Shaz Panzik, a calendar raffle chaired by Kelly Cacioppo, and a gift card raffle chaired by Ashley Selsor. The whole room's attention was captured and held by a heartfelt poem written and presented by a very special woman, Miriam Witzke-Sarduy. The evening then took a festive turn with the "fan favorite" fashion show, sponsored by Gallery Couture. Along with the MWCABC recipients/models who walked the runway, three male doctors joined in on the fun and showcased the new Loop Men fashion. To close out the successful evening, attendees took cookies and coffee to-go as they left for the night. All funds raised will go to helping the women with breast and other cancers in our community.
The night was PINK!
Town Supervisor Jen DeSena had Town Hall lit up apropos to celebrate Ladies' Night Out!

MWCABC 5K

The annual run/walk took place on October 2nd at Mary Jane Davies Park and wove through the beautiful streets of Manhasset finishing on Andrew Road. The event was chaired by Aileen Barry & Theresa McCabe. Over 550 runners & walkers came out on a cloudy and windy day to participate! We are thankful to all of the volunteers, sponsors and participants! It was a wonderful way to raise awareness in the community while supporting the MWCABC.

OUTREACH

Port Washington Schreiber High School Viking Football Team

The Port Washington Schreiber High School Viking football team did more than just wear pink socks in October 2022. The team, led by Head Coach Kevin Cloghessey, raised funds for our Outreach Program. Varsity players Andrew & Christian Sarchese, whose family has benefitted from the services of the MWCABC Outreach Program, helped design a Breast Cancer Awareness tee shirt that they and their teammates sold, along with other awareness merchandise, to raise over $2300 in funds that will help many local families dealing with breast cancer. The Vikings are so proud to support MWCABC!
