Happy Public Works Week!
The American Public Works Association recognizes National Public Works Week every year during the month of May. For this year, the official week is May 19-25. The City of Eugene's Public Works Department held their Public Works Day event on May 16 and the Wastewater Division represented well! Despite the rain, several hundred students and community members showed up and went through the booths to learn about what services are provided by the City.
McKenzie River Trust invites the community to Get Outdoors Day at Green Island from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 1. Come and explore Green Island, an incredible natural area just minutes from where you live, work, and play! The gates to Green Island will open to give you and your friends and family the time and space for exploration, recreation, and quiet reflection. Put on your walking shoes and immerse yourself in the place where the Willamette and McKenzie rivers come together. The MWMC is a proud sponsor of this event, and you can visit our table there on June 1!
