MeetInWales Business Events Industry Roadshow: 18-20 April 2023
Are you:
- Looking to grow business and increase revenue for your venue or tourism business?

- Already working in the business events sector and want to learn how to grow you market share, hone skills and capitalise on support and partnerships from MeetInWales and your local Destination Management Organisation?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then these informative and interactive in-person workshops taking place throughout Wales in April are just for you.
Attendance is free of charge and open to all businesses in Wales with an interest in business events.

Event Wales online webinar - 19 April 2023, 11.00am - 12.00pm
Visit Wales will provide an update on the work they have been doing, in partnership with the events industry, to implement the new National Events Strategy for Wales since it was launched by the Minister for Economy in July 2022.
This will also be an opportunity to be among the first to hear news about their new funding streams, the Sector Development Fund and the Sustainability Innovation Fund, launching in April 2023, to help address some of the key issues facing the sector.

The Wales Tourism Alliance have expressed deep concerns that although 78% of respondents to the Welsh Government’s own consultation were clearly against a Tourism Tax, the Welsh Government have announced their intention to push ahead with proposals. | |
Changes to Google Analytics - act now | |
Google Analytics 4 is the next-generation measurement solution, and is replacing Universal Analytics. On July 1, 2023, standard Universal Analytics properties will stop processing data. We encourage you to make the switch to Google Analytics 4 as soon as possible. | |

Google Analytics is a free web analytics service that provides statistics and basic analytical tools which are essential to understand your customers and how they are interacting with your website.
Please speak to your web developer about switching to Google Analytics 4 before the July 1 deadline.

Have your say on Hospitality & Catering qualifications in Wales | | |

Qualifications Wales has launched a national consultation on proposals to change Hospitality and Catering qualifications. Members of the public, including teachers, parents, carers, employers, and learners are invited to have their say via an online questionnaire. | |
|
It is an opportunity to share your thoughts and help shape the new hospitality and catering qualifications. You can share your opinion on what content should be included in the qualifications, the assessment methods and more.
Get involved and Have Your Say by completing the short online questionnaire. It shouldn’t take long to respond, and your feedback will help create new Hospitality and Catering qualifications in Wales.
