Easter Bookings & Reopening
Word of caution from the Welsh Government

Any bookings that fall beyond the 21 day review period - next review 12 March - are at that business’s and the customer’s own risk. No bookings can be taken ahead of 12 March.

We would urge all members to take a cautious approach to accepting bookings. As of yet we do not know when/if businesses will be able to reopen at Easter, what sectors and what restrictions may apply once businesses are able to reopen (e.g bubbling households, rule of 6 etc)

England

  • 29th March - The 'Stay local' order in England will lapse so visitors may be able to travel into Wales but MUST return home each night.

  • 12th April - overnight visits to holiday accommodation can take place.

Scotland

  • Mid March - Scotland will review their restrictions

Northern Ireland

  • Week Commencing 1st March - NI will release their 'pathway to recovery' plan

No visitors from England will be able to stay overnight in holiday accommodation in Wales until the 12th April 2020

*All dates are the earliest restrictions may be lifted and are all subject to approval - please advise all visitors to check before travelling.

UK businesses registered ‘We’re Good To Go’ get global ‘Safe Travels’ stamp
VisitBritain has announced that tourism businesses in the UK registered to the ‘We’re Good To Go’ industry standard scheme can now be automatically issued with the international ‘Safe Travels’ stamp from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).

The “We’re Good To Go” scheme, launched last year by VisitEngland in partnership with the tourism boards of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, has been recognised by WTTC as meeting its international global standardised health and hygiene protocols and for its role in supporting the recovery of the UK tourism sector.

The WTTC stamp enables travellers to recognise destinations around the world which have adopted global standardised protocols - so they can experience ‘Safe Travels.’

VisitBritain is coordinating the Safe Travels stamp issue in the UK, on behalf of the WTTC, for businesses registered to its We’re Good To Go scheme, with those who welcome international visitors particularly encouraged to apply. View in more detail on the VisitBritain website.

If you are not already registered, you can apply to the “We’re Good to Go” scheme now, as part of your preparations to re-open your business as soon as the time is right.
