MY HERO at GLOW Conference - Nov 19-20

Join MY HERO this month at the GLOW Conference. GLOW is a virtual event dedicated to global education and innovation, with the goal of nurturing global citizenship and cross-cultural collaboration. The event takes place online from November 19-20.


MY HERO Co-founder and Director Jeanne Meyers will be a featured Keynote speaker at this year's event and will explain how MY HERO's Media Arts Education Recourses can help students share stories of everyday heroes. Meyers will speak on Wednesday, November 19th, from 4:00 PM-4:50 PM Pacific Time.

Voting for the MY HERO International Film Festival's People's Choice Award is extended to December 1st.


Short Films, Big Heroes — Voting is a great, 30-minute activity to engage students and families, by viewing selected short films and discussing what makes a hero and what makes a good film


Two ballots are available — one for viewers in middle school and up and one geared toward elementary school students, which can also be enjoyed by people of all ages.

MY HERO Art Contest - Dec 1

Art has the power to inspire, uplift, and soothe. It also has the power to call attention to remarkable individuals working to make the world a better place. The MY HERO Project's Visualize Heroism Art Contest offers a great opportunity for students of all ages to showcase their artistic talents while celebrating the heroes in their lives.


Artists choose the medium — drawing, painting, photography, or digital art — and creatively express their appreciation for the local or global heroes who have touched their lives. Learn more.

MY HERO is producing a series of companion videos a 30-minute companion film to the workbook. Reel Heroes: Student Films and Filmmakers showcases outstanding short films made by students over the years.
