The 19th Annual MY HERO International Film Festival is looking for short hero-themed films! The festival brings together filmmakers, with all levels of expertise, to celebrate local and global heroes working for positive change in the world. 


Thanks to generous sponsors, prizes are awarded to elementary, middle school, high school, college and professionals in a variety of categories that include documentary, narrative, music video, animation, experimental, and more.


The final submission deadline for all entries is October 1, 2023. The submission fee is waived for students through our Student Submission Form.

Students and professionals whose work shows virtual and augmented reality potential to create positive change in the world are eligible for MY HERO’s Immersive Storytelling Award. 

Filmmakers whose work highlights a hero, or an act of heroism, are eligible for the MY HERO Animation Award.

Join us online Saturday, November 18th, as we as we celebrate the best hero-themed films of the year online with the MY HERO International Film Festival's Virtual Award Ceremony.
