Saturday, June 8 - Meet the Mentors  of The MY HERO Project who work with teachers, students and activists around the world to help them develop digital storytelling skills to share stories of their own heroes. Mentors will discuss MY HERO’s free educational resources, which are available and used by teachers in 197 countries. 5-6:00 PM

A Night of Heroes - a benefit for The MY HERO Project Media Arts Education Program - Enjoy a breathtaking musical and visual experience by composer Kenji Williams , the presentation of The Sylvia Earle Ocean Conservation Award , and a talk by former child soldier Mohamed Sidibay, who is now a leading activist for human rights. 7:30-9 PM

Sunday, June 9 - Free Community Screening of ocean-themed films from 2-3 PM . followed by an hour of films about Peace & Social Justice from 3-4 PM .

Sunday, June 23rd from 7:00 - 8:30 PM - MY HERO Global Gallery Poster Session

Join teacher Laura Nietzer at the MY HERO Poster Session immediately following the keynote opening address. Laura will share information on MY HERO's FREE multi-media resources, tutorials, and curated lesson plans used by teachers around the world. 

MY HERO is used to promote character education, media literacy and story telling skills. Students of all ages around the globe discover and share inspiring short films, essays and art on MY HERO's ever-growing internet archive. Educators access free online tools to manage and curate students' work and to create media playlists from MY HERO's media library.
