Park Restrooms
Park restrooms will be closed on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24), Christmas Day (Dec. 25), New Year's Eve (Dec. 30), and New Years Day (Dec. 31).

Dodge Park Ice Rink
  • Ice Rink will be open on Friday, Dec. 24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and closed Saturday, Dec. 25.
  • Ice Rink will be open on Friday, Dec. 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and closed Saturday, Jan. 1.
It might be getting cold but that is no reason to avoid getting into nature. The Sterling Heights Nature Center has been making plans to provide plenty of activities for residents to enjoy over the winter months.
Teen Night Out
Join us for a Teen Night Out at the Dodge Park Ice Rink on Friday, Jan. 28 for an evening of skating! Whether you know how to skate or not -- come out for a fun night with your friends!

Space is reserved especially for teens!
Skills Class for Teens
Join us for our Wacky Winter Warm-up Afterschool Snacks class and learn how to make some treats that are perfect for the cold weather months ahead!

Our program will feature two quick and easy snacks and one drink you can make on your own! Supplies and recipes will be provided!
It's Kids Night Out at the Sterling Heights Nature Center on Jan. 28 which means parents can enjoy their own night out too!

Drop your kids off for an evening of fun, nature related games, activities, crafts and even an exciting night hike (weather permitting).
It's time to Exercise Your Brain with Kathy Housey, Brains & Balance Instructor.

This fun class will help you learn how to challenge your mind by working various areas of the brain, including reasoning, memory, language and problem solving.

Brought to the Center by "Comfort Keepers".
There are still a few spots left in our Friday night Youth Gymnastics classes! Come tuck, jump and roll into the weekend.

Sterling Heights Parks and Recreation offers tumbling and gymnastics classes by age and works with each athlete based on their personal skill level. Classes focus on perfecting the fundamental skills, strength, flexibility and balance needed for success on floor, vault and balance beam. Once they have the basics down, we help athletes progress to the next level of skills using drills and exercises necessary to reach their performance goals!
Sterling Heights Parks and Recreation will be hosting a blood drive with Versiti Blood Services at the Community Center in Seminar Room 2 on Jan. 3 & 18 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Help keep the local blood supply strong throughout the winter months! One hour of your time will help save THREE lives!
