International Women’s Day with Yael Pepper , Tuesday, Feb. 12, 7 p.m., Shaller Family Sholom East. Israeli Yael Pepper lived in a polygamist cult with 32 women and 90 kids. She left with her children and was the only woman who sued for alimony. Sponsored by the St. Paul Jewish Federation and the Israel Center of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation. Tickets and details .

- Acquire the ability to speak, understand, read and write Israeli Hebrew at the College Level Hebrew at the JCC , Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:00-8:30 pm, Feb. 12 – May 23 (24 sessions). - The Rimon Artist Salon Series presents Cutting Out Injustice: Revolution in Jewish Papercuts on Sunday, February 24, 2 p.m., featuring Aaron Silver and moderator Freya Richman at Traffic Zone Center for Visual Art, Studio 228 (250 Third Ave. N., Minneapolis). - Looking for a 7th Grade Mitzvah Project? Like to make people smile? Consider Training to Become a Mitzvah Clown on Sunday, February 24, 12:30 – 3:00 p.m. at Sholom East. As mitzvah clowns, we will role play, learn how to make balloon animals, apply clown makeup, get dressed in clown clothes, and bring joy to those who need some!
