Reform Movement Honors Mount Zion with an Audacious Hospitality Award Honorable Mention
For MZ Connect: Our New Portal for On-line and In-Person Engagement”
The Union of Reform Judaism recently awarded Mount Zion a Belin Award Honorable Mention. According to the URJ website, the Belin Awards “ offer an opportunity to highlight and reward some of the most innovative and inspiring initiatives in our congregations.” This year’s award focused on one of the URJ’s pillars, Audacious Hospitality. The URJ will recognize this achievement at the URJ Biennial, 11-15 December 2019, in Chicago. Register for the Biennial !

Since it launched in late 2018, MZ Connect is our new portal for engagement at Mount Zion featuring online and in-person opportunities. The key initiative this past year has been MZ Small Groups which has helped congregants develop and connect to over twenty different small groups ranging from mussar to bicycling to food to music. Over 160 people are participating in these groups. See the list of existing groups. You can also form a new group . Not sure of where you might fit? A conversation with our Congregational Engagement Director Shai Avny would be helpful:  savny@mzion.org or 651-698-3881.
