We strongly encourage attendance at any of the meaningful and fun Judaic enrichment programs for which your child might apply. Jewish camping and Israel trips are essential in helping your child/teen deepen his/her/their Jewish identity. Minyan Pashut at 9:45 AM in the Library

Minyan Pashut, literally, "simple minyan," is a lay led, intimate "minyan" [quorum] focused on our Hebrew liturgy and music. All levels of Hebrew knowledge are welcome. Minyan Pashut generally meets once a month.

Shabbat Matters - Marking Time Jewishly with JoHanna Potts

The Jewish calendar gives us multiple opportunities each year to mark time to share holidays with family, remember loved ones on particular dates, and connect our past and present while making memories to pass on for the future.  This is not a "how to celebrate" class; rather we will talk about how rituals add meaning to our lives.

Kids ages 0-5 and their families are welcome to celebrate Shabbat with songs, music, challah, and juice!

Coping with Aging Relatives at 12:30 PM in the Library

Are you worried about your parent(s) or other relative(s)? Are they having trouble with driving? Are you concerned about their living situation? Are you feeling overwhelmed? Join us for emotional and spiritual support and the opportunity to share your concerns, and learn from others with similar challenges. These are drop-in sessions; you need not have attended before.

Listening Space with Rabbi Jane at 1:00 PM in the Double Classroom

Join Rabbi Jane, Adat Shalom's Pastoral Counselor for a Listening Space. Listening Space is a support group, a place to feel heard and connect.

Achrei Oneg: Trust Act with Jerry Kickenson 
at 1:00 PM 

Montgomery County and Maryland Trust Act
Jerry Kickenson, fellow Adat Shalom congregant and Jews United for Justice Migrant Justice leader for Montgomery County, will explain the proposed Trust Acts for Montgomery County and the State of Maryland - what they would do, how they would help, facts and misconceptions about them, and how they are an embodiment of Jewish values.  For those interested, information on how to get involved in advocating for these laws after Shabbat will be provided.
