All are welcome to join Rabbi Hazzan Rachel Hersh for this alignment-focused hatha yoga, ending with brief silent meditation. Bring a yoga mat; all other props provided. Adat Shalom members: minimum $5 gift to our Social Action Fund. Non-members $20/class.

Join Ms. Ellie for our weekly energetic and joyful celebration of Shabbat, complete with Torah Parade and Oneg! And join us on the bimah for kiddush and motzi at 12:10. Great fun for kids up to age 5 and their adults. Grandparents welcome!
T'filah Shebalev at 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM

Join us for the monthly gathering known as T’filah Shebalev (prayers of the heart). This monthly alternative Shabbat morning experience is designed to be participatory, a bit experimental, and no more than 75 minutes long. We begin with a prayer and end by saying Kaddish.  This month Nelson Migdal will lead us in songs of the season: songs about light, and Chanukah. Some songs may be familiar, and Nelson will teach us some new ones.

Purim Shpiel Planning

It's not too soon to dust off your dad jokes and start planning for the Purim Shpiel, scheduled for Sunday, March 8. Jokesters, designers, fiddlers and riddlers are welcome. We need everything from a theme to an audience. All ages, experience and enthusiasm needed. Questions? Email Ken Avner.
Mishnah Garden & Sacred Grounds

Helping Others in our Community
Ongoing thru December 20

J oin us in a decade-old holiday tradition in partnership with the Social Action Committee of Tifereth Israel to provide Christmas dinner and holiday cheer to residents at DC homeless shelters. Volunteers , Pies and donations of hats and gloves (boxes are at Adat Shalom) are needed.

Shabbat Potluck Dinner at 6:30 PM, (Latkes included!) and Musical Shabbat Service at 7:45 PM. This event is open to all! Come let the light in!
Life Cycle
We offer our condolences to Neal Goldenberg on the loss of his brother, Abbey, and Michael Gottlieb on the loss of his mother, Judith.

Shiva Minyanim in memory of Abbey Goldenberg, will be held at the home of Neal and Myrna Goldenberg, 4990 Sentinel Drive, #302, Bethesda, MD 20816 , on Wednesday evening, December 4 at 7:30 PM and Thursday evening, December 5 at 7:30 PM

Michael is opening his home at 1322 Rhode Island Avenue, NW, and receiving visitors on Sunday afternoon December 8 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM , or you may join for a Post-Shiva Gathering at the home of Lisa and Neil Makstein, 14612 Brougham Way, N. Potomac, on Thursday evening, December 12 at 7:30 PM.
