We Agree with Unity

This is one of those times for the building industry as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic while also confronting the challenge of climate change. James Ball, our VP of Business Development, shared his experience with ‘coopetition’ in this guest blog for the newly launched DC Building Innovation Hub.

A New Era for MaGrann's Support of the Energy Efficiency Alliance
MaGrann President & CEO Rich Selverian is stepping down as a board member of the Energy Efficiency Alliance (EEA) after more than 10 years. He has served as the President of the Board for the past 7 years.

EEA (formerly KEEA; Keystone Energy Efficiency Alliance) began as a group of like-minded companies joining together to further energy efficiency in Pennsylvania. It has evolved into a network of state-based affiliates with dedicated staff and an active board. Now well-regarded as a premier organization advocating for energy efficiency policy, MaGrann Associates has been a proud contributing member since its inception.

EEA Executive Director Matt Elliot said, "On behalf of the entire team at the Energy Efficiency Alliance, we are deeply grateful to Rich for his many years of service as president of our Board of Directors. During Rich's time on the EEA board, our organization has grown by leaps and bounds year over year, growing our membership, our staff, our funding base, and our reputation as a true policy-change powerhouse in Pennsylvania and New Jersey."

As Rich steps down, MaGrann Vice President of Program and Strategic Development Ben Adams has been elected, returning to the role after 10 years.

Charging Forward at MaGrann
We are excited to share that after two years in the works, our corporate office in Mount Laurel, NJ now offers employees and visitors free charging for up to six vehicles at a time while parked at our building! This project was made possible by a partial grant from DriveGreenNJ, a program supported by the 2016-17 Volkswagen Settlement for diesel emissions violations.
There’s never been a better time to consider electrifying your next car purchase – especially in New Jersey which was just ranked in the top 10 by ACEEE’s State Transportation Electrification Scorecard (catching up with the leading states in our region including NY, DC, MD, MA and VT). Follow these links for more information on incentives by state: NJ, PA, MD, DC, NY, CT, MA.
And with new models from Hyundai, Kia, GM and others, more options than ever are now available with 2-300 miles of range at mainstream prices, many with substantial federal and state incentives still available. For a complete list of models and tax credit eligibility see: https://fueleconomy.gov/feg/taxevb.shtml
We at MaGrann are happy to be able to play a small part in supporting the move to a lower carbon economy and cleaner air for all. For any questions on our EV charger project experience contact BenAdams@magrann.com
