A community of involved residents coming together to improve the quality of life in Mableton.

BOARD NEWS!

COMMUNITY HAPPENINGS!

The Trust for Public Land (TPL) in partnership with Cobb County will open the much-anticipated RiverLands Gateway Park at the intersection of Discovery Boulevard and Mableton Parkway, including nearly 9 acres of green space. This site will be the regional trailhead for the RiverLands’ showcase site – a 3-mile section of the Chattahoochee RiverLands that makes up over 100 miles of development along the river.

Mableton citizens have an opportunity to be included on the front end of the plans for the land. In fact, TPL and Cobb County would like to hear your vision for the park, your family and future generations. Please get involved. The river, being the tremendous resource it is, is simply too valuable to ignore any longer.

Get a first-hand experience of the park during the Welcome to South Cobb Family, Food & Music Festival (welcometosouthcobb.com) on September 2, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The event will have great entertainment and family fun, and you'll have a chance to share your thoughts and ideas about the permanent look and feel of the park. Representatives from the design team will be at the festival from 12 -4 pm.

While at the festival, stop by the MIC booth to learn more about our parks and how to become a MIC Parks Ambassador.

We look forward to seeing you there!

All Star Schools!

2023-24 Hank Aaron All-Star Schools

Betty Gray Middle

&

Lindley Middle School

Each year since 2019, the Atlanta Braves has “adopted” an Atlanta Public School (APS) and met some of the school’s most crucial needs over the course of the year, including support for teachers and classrooms, capital projects improving the school facilities or grounds, and special experiences for students. In 2022, the Braves expanded the Hank Aaron All-Star School program to also include two adopted schools from the Cobb County School District (CCSD). Projects at each school are unique and dependent on the specific needs of the teachers, students, and community.

New Hank Aaron All-Star Schools for the upcoming school year are announced during Hank Aaron Week. Our 2023-24 schools are Booker T. Washington High School (APS), Betty Gray Middle School (CCSD) and Lindley Middle School (CCSD), both located in Mableton.

Follow us at @bravesfdn on X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram to see our work with these adopted schools throughout the year!
