Meet Our New School Counselor: 
Lauren Richards, M.Ed
Introducing Mabry's new School Counselor, Lauren Richards, M.Ed :

*  This is my 2nd year as a School Counselor. Last year I was at Chiaramonte Elementary and I am so excited to be a Mabry Dolphin this year!

*  I will be working with all Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade students.

*  I was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri and moved to the Tampa Bay Area 4 years ago with my husband, Derek.

*  I have 2 kids who take up all of my time outside of work!  Colin just turned 2 in August and Madeline is 5 months old.
ASE Classes Start This Week! 
ASE
Please remind your children that After School Enrichment (ASE) classes start on Monday Sept 10th!

Please confirm your student's backpack tags are correct and remind them daily if they have an ASE class.

Remember pick up at the front of school is Parent Walk up ONLY! For safety reasons, cars CANNOT pull in to the horseshoe to pick up students. You must park on Estrella or side streets and WALK up.  Car line is on Neptune and follows the same procedures as regular dismissal.  Please be on time for pick up!

If your child for any reason will not be attending an ASE session one day, please send a written note notifying the teacher of a change in their afternoon dismissal. Thank you for your help!
eWallet and Fall Book Fair info
The Scholastic Fall Book Fair will be at Mabry from Monday, Sept 24 - Friday, Sept 28 during school hours for the students to shop. 

Families will be able to shop together on Monday, 9/24 from 1:30-3:30pm and again all afternoon and evening on Thursday, 9/27 throughout conference night.  The teacher with the most families who attend both events will receive $20 Scholastic Dollars to spend on his/her classroom.

Picture Day
Individual Picture Day is this Thursday, Sept 13th. 

Pictures are in uniform. If you would like to order a copy, please send your money in the provided envelope (with your child's name and homeroom teacher on it) on picture day.

Parents' Night Out
Join us for a free screening of Backpack Full of Cash at Tampa Theatre on Sept 20th at 7:30pm. This is a free community event for all parents who want to learn more about the real costs of privatizing America's public schools.
Flu Shot Clinic
HCPS has partnered with  Healthy Schools - the nation's largest school vaccine  provider - to offer flu shots to your child during the school day. The copay is $0, so  there is no cost to you. The flu shot clinic will take place at Mabry on campus on Thursday, Sept 27th.
