Book Fair This Week
The Scholastic Fall Book Fair will be at Mabry this week  during school hours for the students to shop. Due to new school safety procedures, there will be no before school shopping with your child.

Families will be able to shop together on Monday, 9/24 from 1:30-3:30pm and again all afternoon and evening on Thursday, 9/27 throughout conference night.  The teacher with the most families who attend both events will receive $20 Scholastic Dollars to spend on his/her classroom.

This year t he new digital payment option is available at Mabry! Sign up for eWallet!  Simply follow this link to set up an account and the funds will be immediately available for your child. Safe and secure!  No cash, no checks, no hassle!! This will come in extremely handy if your child will be shopping without you during school hours.
Yearbook Cover Design Contest
Primary Grades (PK-2nd) Requirements for back cover contest: Must include the school vision "Inspired to learn, lead, succeed"
 
Intermediate Grades (3rd-5th) Requirements for front cover contest: School name and the year, (2018-2019)
 
The design for both the front and the back must be student created by hand, not on the computer. In order for your design to be judged, your name must be on the back, not the front. All creations must be submitted on plain white 8 ½ X 11 paper. Turn your cover in to your homeroom teacher.

Walk-A-Thon
Mabry's fall fundraiser, the Walk-A-Thon is Saturday, October 20, from 9 AM to Noon at the Coleman track.
 
Fundraising packets went home in your student's Friday folder on Friday, September 14. Start fundraising now to help us reach our goal. Donations are due by October 9. Funds go to the Mabry PTA. More information can be found here. Business sponsor opportunities available.

The Dolphin Depot has been restocked!  Place your order online by 9/24 to guarantee delivery on 9/28. New adult sizes in the Friday Dri Fit Spirit shirt now available. 
Education Referendum
Come learn about the November tax referendum for Education on October 16, 9:00-10:30am at Wright's Gourmet. Superintendent Jeff Eakins, along with other district leadership, will be there to answer questions and explain the district's significant needs and capital improvement plans. 
5th Grade Parents
Calling all 5th grade parents! Please join your fellow "Parents-of-the-Class-of-2019" for a casual happy hour at The Blind Goat at 7pm, Monday, Oct. 24th. Meet new friends, connect with old ones and sign up to help with all of the fun activities we have planned for our 5th graders this school year!
Cafeteria Volunteers Wanted
Lunchtime/cafeteria helpers are needed! We appreciate any help you can give, especially during the younger children's lunch hours, as they are always needing extra hands to open containers, insert straws, run for extra napkins, etc. Sign up here
