Your donations help us raise funds for many wonderful projects and services like technology enhancements, iReady software, media center upgrades, pavilion improvements and so much more.

Depending on the amount raised, different prize levels can be achieved. We also have prizes for the family that raises the most, the class that raises the most and more! If Mabry hits the goal of $45,000.00, then everyone gets to celebrate with a performance by "Fritzy Brothers - One Man Circus".

The PTA needs volunteers to help with Walk to School Wednesday Oct 5 and with calling businesses for the auction.  These are great volunteer opportunities for those who aren't able to volunteer on campus.  

 

For Walk to School Wednesday we are doing something new, a walking school bus through nearby neighborhoods. We need route markers, route guides and people to meet students and parents at the school with water, coffee and prizes. To volunteer for Walk to School Wednesday Click Here.

This month student council and Mabry will be participating in Socktober!  What is Socktober?  It is a month long event where you can help donate various items to help local homeless shelters.  It doesn't have to be just socks.  You can donate:

*     Socks

*     Blankets

*     Deodorant

*     Soap

*     Shampoo/Conditioner

*     Toiletries

*     Brushes/Combs

*     Feminine hygiene products

*     Underwear

*     Baby wipes

*     Antibacterial Ointment/Bandaids

Mabry students, grades 1-5, are looking forward to a visit by two wonderful authors, Roland and Marie Smith. They will be at Mabry on October 21 for the full day. Marie will speak to grades 1-2 and Roland is speaking to grades 3-5. They started their drive from Oregon to Florida on Thursday, September 29 and will stop at schools to speak to  students along the way ending up in Orlando at the Florida Association for Media in Education state conference to speak to Florida media specialists. They agreed to come visit us after the conference.

  

After your students hear about their stories and about their life as writers they will want some of their books.  An order form came home with your student on Friday, September 30. You have an opportunity to order books from Barnes and Noble at a discounted price which will be delivered to school for Roland and Marie to autograph for your child. The form will be on the Mabry Media webpage also. It is due back to school by Tuesday, October 4.
