Mabry Minute for Week of 10/28/18
Candy Buy Back!
It's that time of year again! Dr. Goodnight will be buying back Halloween candy on Friday, Nov. 2nd from 7:10 to 7:45am in the front of Dale Mabry Elementary. He will also buy back candy at his South Tampa office Nov. 5th thru Nov. 8th 8 - 5 and November 9th 8-12.

He will turn that candy into cash for you and send the candy to Operation Shoebox. They send it to men and women overseas in care packages. So send some smiles to our U.S. Military and put some cash in your hand at the same time. For more information on Operation Shoebox  click here.

Candy buy back $1 per pound limit up to $5. You may donate more if you would like.
Healthy Schools Update
Congrats to Mabry Elementary for being recognized as one of Hillsborough's Healthiest Schools!

Mabry received Gold Status in this  school-based initiative to celebrate the efforts of schools across the district to create healthier school environments for students, families, and employees.
If You Support Our Schools, then VOTE!
The most effective way to share your views on your child's school and education is to VOTE. If you would like to see more capital improvements, take a close look at the  referendum measure on the ballot.

There have been many questions about the projected improvements.
  1. Updated playground equipment will not be affected.  The measures will replace outdated or broken infrastructure.
  2. Suggested improvements and timetables are subject to change and are based on need and feasibility.
  3. Should Mabry's or any schools' needs change or worsen, the plans for that school will reflect those changes.
Parents and friends are encouraged to highlight the positive aspects of elections and voting when speaking children. Your child will recognize how powerful and valuable the electoral process is!
