Mabry Minute for Week of 12/1/19
Join Us This Thursday!!!

Dinner and dancing from around the world! The Mabry chorus and steel pans will be performing, along with grade level folk dance performances (from 6-7pm). Food trucks serving mediterranean, philipino, columbian and moroccan fare (All will serve a kids meal). Mabry students who participate in grade level performances will receive a special spirit stick. Student Council Needs Your Help!
This month is busy for student council, and you can help!  We are hosting our annual toy drive and our annual holiday card making

THIS WEEK, from  December 2-6 , we are collecting toys for all ages (infants to teenagers.) All toys will be donated to Metropolitan Ministries to help children and teenagers in need. 

Also, NEXT WEEK, from  December 9-12 , please be sure to stop by the front of the school in the morning between 7:10 and 7:40 to make a holiday card. The card making is going to be donated to a local assisted living center to brighten someone's holiday season and make them smile.

Toys must be new and unwrapped
Some toy options include:
  • Stuffed animals/Dolls, Learning toys, Books, Legos, Jewelry/Make-up/Hair accessories, Sporting equipment, Board games, Game kits/ Craft kits, Bicycles/Skateboards, Gift cards: Target, Walmart, Apple, Best Buy, Publix

Spring Auction Announcement !
Our biggest night in fundraising is also the most fun night around. Join the Mabry PTA in your masquerade attire for an exquisite evening of cocktails, nibbles, casino games, live auction, and more...all benefiting Mabry Elementary.

Holiday Shop
The "Holiday Shop" is a is a program brought to the school by the PTA. This program gives children a safe, supervised environment in which to choose appropriately priced gifts for family and friends. 

This year, it will be December 9-13, 2019 during school hours and will only be open for students. More details about the shop will be sent home with children.

Mabry PTA Bylaws
This school year, Mabry PTA's bylaws will need to be approved. The executive team has proposed to keep our current bylaw adjustments and renew for another 3 years. (Click here to review these items.) We will be voting on these proposed bylaws at the next General Membership Meeting on January 30th , 2020. If you have any questions, please email  mabryptapresident@gmail.com .

Maker Space Announcement
Our MakerSpace has enough  recyclables  right now, however, we are in need of and would LOVE and any and all types of craft supplies - anything and everything from fake flowers to styrofoam to papers, wooden things and more - anything you can craft with!!
Walk to School Wednesdays
Walk to school every Wednesday and fill those  punch cards Here's the map of  walking routes and additional details.
School Choice is Open!
The first School Choice window is now open, and will close on 12/31/19. Those families who wish to consider magnet schools for the 2020-2021 school year are encouraged to apply in the first round, to have the best chances for selection.
