Mabry Minute for Week of 12/11/16
The Dolphin Giving Tree
  Thank you to everyone who has already brought in gifts for the children on our Dolphin Giving Tree. If you are bringing in your gifts this week, please attach the red and green dolphin shaped ornament to the unwrapped gifts.  The Dolphin Giving Tree is in the front office, and still contains a few more wish lists from children at Mabry and Westshore Elementary. If you would like to purchase gifts for these students, please choose an ornament from the tree and take it  home with you. Then place  the unwrapped gift/s under the tree, and attach the ornament to them by December 14th. Please contact the Outreach Committee at archalmers@aol.com if you have any questions.

One of our previous Mabry Dolphins, Emma Walker, is collecting Teddy Bears to hand out to kids at St. Joseph's Hospital this holiday season.  She came to talk to the Student Council and show them that even kids can make a difference!  So we want to help!  If you would like to donate, just bring in a new, unused Teddy Bear to your Student Council Rep.  Donations will be accepted until December 15.
Calling all Mabry Stars!
The Annual Mabry Talent Show will be held on March 8th, 2017! All ages welcome!
Stay tuned for more info after the winter holidays, but it's never too early to start practicing your special talent!
Card Making Week
Student Council is holding their annual card making the week of December 12-15.
 
Students can visit the table out front of the school to make a card to brighten someone's holiday season. The Student Council then delivers these thoughtful words to a local assisted living center. 
Coordinator Needed
The Auction Committee is looking for a Donations Coordinator to help with this year's auction. This person is responsible for tracking all incoming donations, assign the companies for the team to contact and follow up with, help pick up items when needed, help package and bundle the donations, and help the day before the auction and the day of the auction with the set up. ASE Updates
ASE Fall classes end as follows: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday classes have finished. Monday ASE classes meet for the last time on 12/12/16.  
 
Look in your child's Friday Folder on 12/10 for a one page flyer on ASE classes for the Spring. These class lists are tentative, but we hoped to give parents an early access to the courses and days. Plan ahead! We will have classes all 5 days of the week! We have new class offerings!
