Empathy

Children learn empathy by watching and experiencing our empathy for them. They also notice by watching how you interact with others.

Here are some discussion points to talk about empathy with your child:
  • Identify and make connections between multiple thoughts, behaviors, and feelings with your child.
  • Talk about ways you can build a "climate" of empathy in the home and community.
After School Enrichment
ASE classes begin this week. Be sure your child knows his or her dismissal plan. Reminders of the attendance policy and code of conduct can be found here.

Pencil Grams!
Last week was Student Council's Pencil Gram drive. And with the short week, it was tough to get all those sweet messages in. Didn't get your gram in? No problem! Just print THIS FORM, fill it out, and send it in BY MONDAY with your dollar.  Student Council will attach a pencil and deliver it on February 14th to the respective rooms. All proceeds will go to Metropolitan Ministries. Let's bring a smile to those around us this Valentine's Day!

Mabry PTA Alumni Scholarship
The Mabry PTA is now accepting applications for the Mabry Alumni Scholarship!!  Any senior who attended and completed 5th grade at Mabry is eligible to apply.  Please help spread the word! The deadline to submit applications and supporting materials is March 27, 2020. 

The application is available on the Mabry PTA website.
