Book Fair is Coming!

The Spring Scholastic Fall Book Fair will be at Mabry from Monday, Feb 25 - Friday, Mar 1 during school hours for the students to shop. Families will be able to shop together on Tuesday, 2/26 from 2-3pm and again from 3-7om on Thursday, 2/28 during conference night.

Penny Wars

Student Council is hosting its annual Penny Wars the weeks of February 25 - March 8. Penny Wars is a competition between the grades. Pennies count as points, and silver coins and dollars take away points from the grade you put them in. For example a penny is worth plus 1 point where as a $1 is worth minus 100 points. The grade bins will be placed outside the media center. You only have two weeks (starting Monday) so act fast! The prize is a Popsicle party for the winning grade! All donations go to Mabry's Relay for Life, which helps cancer researchers. Your participation and donations can help save lives!

Jump Rope for Heart

Would like to thank all the students who participated in this year's event. As a school, Mabry raised over $22,000 for the American Heart Association. Prizes have been ordered and should be arriving in 4 to 5 weeks.

Mabry Alumni PTA Scholarship

If you know a current high school senior that graduated from Mabry, please encourage them to apply for the Mabry PTA Alumni Scholarship. This $1000 scholarship will be awarded to one eligible senior. Applications can be found on the Mabry PTA website, and have also been sent to area high schools. The deadline to apply is April 1st.

Calling All Mabry Stars! Do you have a special talent that you'd like to share? Now is the time to sign up for the 2019 Mabry Talent Show, which will be held on April 18th from 6-8:30 pm . Three rehearsals will be held on preceding Wednesday evenings. Detailed information and the registration form can be found HERE. Deadline to register is March 15th !

Walk to School Wednesdays

Walk to school every Wednesday and fill those punch cards ! Here's the map of walking routes and additional details.

Conference Night

Thursday is Conference Night, plus you can shop the book fair with your child then too!

Safety Tip of the Week

Constantly talk to your kids about safety reminders on the street. Have kids tell you when it is OK to cross a street - forcing them to look both ways and make the decision. Remind them that they are too short for cars to see and they need to be cautious. Same goes for parking lots - they should stay with you until they are taller than you. Any car backing up is unlikely to see them until then.
