Grandparents Breakfast
Deadline has been extended till Monday, 3/2, RSVP HERE.

Mabry PTA is pleased to invite you to the Mabry Grandparents Breakfast.  Students are assigned days based on their last name as follows:
  • A-G (Wednesday 3/25)
  • H-M (Thursday 3/26)
  • N-Z (Friday 3/27)
Door open at 6:45am, and breakfast will be served until 7:30am. Access to the event will only be through the cafeteria doors facing Lois Ave. In order to attend, you must RSVP by Monday 3/2 via eventbrite HERE. 
One More Week of Pennywise!
Pennywise goes through Friday, March 6th. All proceeds will go to the Mabry relay for Life team. 

Each grade level will have two bins in front of the media center. One will be marked pennies and one will be marked coins and dollars. Pennies give a grade level points, while silver and coins take points away from a grade level. 

The grade level with the most points at the end of the two weeks will win a popsicle party!
MABRY'S GOT TALENT 2020!
Calling all Mabry Stars! We want to celebrate your special gifts and talents! Whether it be singing, juggling, or dancing in a duck costume, there are no limits to what you can do!

The Annual Mabry Talent Show will be held on April 9th, 2020! All ages welcome!

Rehearsal dates are as follows:  3/25,  4/1 &  4/8

American Cancer Luminaria Order Form
You can give to the American Cancer Society and keep the flame of hope lit by dedicating a luminaria in memory of someone lost to cancer or in honor of someone still fighting or who has beaten the disease.

Luminarias are $10 each and can have up to 10 words of dedication in addition to the name. Forms can be found  HERE and must be returned by Thursday, April 17, 2020.

Self-Control

Here are some discussion points and activities to encourage self-control within your child:
  • Make a list of 3 age-appropriate tasks that your child can be responsible ON THEIR OWN (think bedtime routine, chores, cleaning their room, packing their lunch/backpack, etc)
  • Practice deep breathing or taking a break before acting upon something when you are feeling angry or overwhelmed.
Dad's Club Social
Come out and join the Mabry Dad's Club THIS THURSDAY, 5/7 from 7-10pm for another social gathering at The Blind Goat (4106 Henderson Blvd).
The Blind Goat is offering $.50 wings and beverage specials. 
Safety Notice
Parents, please do not drop your children off for school in the street or in front of the Mabry sign on Estrella. We have noticed children crossing the grass and walking directly through the line of cars in the car line. This is not safe for your children. Please have your kids use the crosswalks and walk on the sidewalk to the front doors of the school. Please do not walk in between the cars dropping off. 
Walk to School Wednesdays
Walk to school every Wednesday and fill those  punch cards !  Here's the map of  walking routes and additional details.
Mabry PTA Alumni Scholarship
The Mabry PTA is now accepting applications for the Mabry Alumni Scholarship!!  Any senior who attended and completed 5th grade at Mabry is eligible to apply.  Please help spread the word! The deadline to submit applications and supporting materials is March 27, 2020.

Early release Monday: 12:10pm
Tuesday-Friday: 1:10pm

Student dismissal changes must be submitted in writing, either hand written note or emailed to the student's teacher.  If emailing dismissal changes, please copy the school secretary at  jennifer.lovell@sdhc.k12.fl.us
