Two athletes from Thailand have qualified for the Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games and are training at U.S. universities. Jadon Scures, 18, a snowboard competitor, is a student at the University of Denver. Teekhree Silpa-Archa, 20, is scheduled to compete in figure skating and attends Northeastern University.
They join figure skater Eugenia Ayelen Garza, the Mexican national champion who skated in last year’s Olympic Trials and this year’s Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, as international students attending U.S. schools. Garza,19, is a kinesiology student at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
