What the Left Did to Our Country

In the last 20 years, the Left has boasted that it has gained control of most of America institutions of power and influence—the corporate boardroom, media, Silicon Valley, Wall Street, the administrative state, academia, foundations, social media, entertainment, professional sports, and Hollywood.

With such support, between 2009-17, Barack Obama was empowered to transform the Democratic Party from its middle-class roots and class concerns into the party of the bicoastal rich and subsidized poor—obsessions with big money, race, a new intolerant green religion, and dividing the country into a binary of oppressors and oppressed.

The Obamas entered the presidency spouting the usual leftwing boilerplate (“spread the wealth,” “just downright mean country,” “get in their face,” “first time I’ve been proud of my country”) as upper-middle-class, former community activists, hurt that their genius and talents had not yet been sufficiently monetized.

DEI, where democracy goes to DIE

DEI, the acronym for so-called Diversity, Equity and Inclusion that has infiltrated and infected American society, is like so many things in Biden’s America, the exact opposite of what it claims to be.


Diversity as practiced in contemporary America has been corrupted to mean “exclusionary”: “You are diverse as long as you are non-White, non-religious, unpatriotic, LGBTQ+ and ascribe to our politics and belief system.” Otherwise, you will be shut down and shunned in education, employment, expression, the judicial system… everywhere. You will be cancelled. There is a word for this and it’s not “diversity.” It’s discrimination.


It is open season on White people, especially White males. The owner of the submersible Titanic exploration vessel, who died in its implosion, intentionally discriminated against “50-year-old white guys” in hiring, dismissing the safety and operational expertise of former submarine commanders. His bigotry ending up killing him and four other passengers.


“White privilege” and “White supremacy” are bandied about like the N-word throughout formerly polite society. Employers regularly -- and illegally -- discriminate against White people in hiring and force White employees to undergo communist-style self-criticism sessions. Our schools and universities are no better, with no-Whites-allowed clubs and dorms and demeaning exercises designed to make White children aware and ashamed of their so-called privileged status.


Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream, “that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character,” now is but a pile of ashes.

Uniformed USAFA Cadet Publicly Disrespects Congress at 2023 West Point DEI Conference

On 30-31 August 2023, LTG Steven Gilland’s West Point hosted the 20th Annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Conference. The conference, with nearly 400 attendees, featured cadets from the US Air Force Academy (USAFA), US Coast Guard Academy, and West Point as well as US Army officers, US Air Force officers, West Point faculty, civilian university professors, Department of the Army staff, VA staff, NASA staff, and professional DEI speakers.

In July 2023, Judicial Watch won a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit to obtain evidence that the US Air Force Academy was teaching Critical Race Theory at USAFA. USAFA had previously refused to disclose the documents. Judicial Watch posted 478 pages showing CRT instruction at USAFA on its website.[i] Later in July, USAFA Superintendent LtGen Richard Clark testified in front of Congress regarding Congressional concerns for Critical Race Theory (CRT) being taught at USAFA. Congressman Mike Waltz pressed Clark and the other two academy superintendents regarding race-based admissions and other DEI issues. LtGen Clark continued to deny CRT indoctrination and defended USAFA guest speaker Dr Eddie Glaude who had once written, “We’re in the midst of another betrayal. Every reckoning in the United States historically has carried with it betrayal. At every moment in which a new America is on the verge of being reborn, the umbilical cord of white supremacy has been wrapped around the baby’s neck, choking the life out of it.” Read Full Article here

Conclusion

This is an important paper, both for its content and what the fact of its commissioning might represent. We hope it presages a renewed and intense focus on winning wars instead of glossy photographs.

For anyone interested in evaluating the Academies (for our Army, Air Force, or even our Navy friends), it is worth reading.

It examines the SA benefits in a wide context and through the lens of return (to taxpayers, to the Nation, and to the Army). Being focused on the lever of ADSO, it could have also looked more critically at inputs and policies at the Service Academies. As a whole though it is quite interesting and thoughtfully constructed.

As always, factual corrections and thoughtful criticism are welcome.

  • The Air Force is developing a data analytics tool to track “progress” toward achieving Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) goals, according to documents the Daily Caller News Foundation obtained.
  • The SAF/DI DEIA Progress Dashboard generates a “score card” showing where racial, ethnic and gender disparity gaps are closing.
  • “The tool in reference is a progress dashboard which is under development and currently only utilized for internal SAF/DI use,” the office said in an Aug. 30 statement provided alongside the records.


The Air Force is developing a system that tracks changes in the percentages of racial minorities and women who join and advance through the Air Force to evaluate whether the service is achieving its so-called Diversity, Equity Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) goals, according to documents obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

A “DEIA Progress Dashboard” will be “highlighting and tracking [the Department of the Air Force’s] progress towards addressing racial, ethnic, and gender disparities,” according to a background paper included in records the DCNF obtained via a Freedom of Information Act request....

Pentagon Should Focus on Lethality, Not Pronouns

By Congressman Mike Gallagher, who served for seven years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps, including two deployments to Iraq.

Representative Mike Gallagher (R-WI) released the following statement in response to a recently enacted DoD policy that strips gendered pronouns from awards honoring the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces.

“The Secretary of the Air Force stated that our military is ‘not as ready as we need to be’ to face the challenge posed by the Chinese Communist Party.

Yet, amid this challenge and compounding military recruiting and budget crises, the Pentagon has once again chosen to waste time and resources on wokeness instead of warfighting.

The Department recently stripped gendered pronouns ‘he’ and ‘she’ from awards honoring the brave men and women who dedicate their lives to this country.

Instead they require all awardees, regardless of preference, to be reduced to a gender-less, collective ‘themselves’ – substituting grammatical error for honor. 

This is insane.

House Republicans have raised serious concerns on the Pentagon’s growing DEI bureaucracy and its impact on recruiting, yet top defense officials repeatedly downplay these concerns and double down on these kinds of crazy policies.

This year’s NDAA took steps to stop this behavior, but more must be done to ensure the Pentagon is laser-focused on lethality, not pronouns.”

‘Sound of Freedom’ Screenings Cancelled at U.S. Southern Command Headquarters

Screenings of the hit movie Sound of Freedom that were set to take place at U.S. Southern Command, or Southcom, headquarters have been abruptly cancelled after The Military Times publication inquired about the showings.

In its report about the cancellation, The Military Times disparagingly described the movie as “QAnon-embraced” and “Christian-faith-based” in what appears to be an attempt to discredit the movie’s artistic legitimacy.....
