Lights! Costumes! Drama!

This month’s junior drama production of The Bourgeois Gentleman was pure hilarity from start to finish. The students’ preparation and coaching were evident in every moment through their comedic timing and spirited delivery that kept the audience laughing throughout the performance. Every detail had been thought through, from the impressively designed set and vibrant costumes to the well-developed accents. The cast’s confidence on stage made the play not only entertaining but noteworthy.

Junior drama encapsulates the heart of MacLaren’s drama program, where storytelling is brought to life. Students immerse themselves fully in the craft, using their voices, movement, and creativity to shape a cohesive production. They participate in all aspects of the theatrical process including acting, set and costume design, lighting, props, and even poster design. Anchored in a tradition of performing excellent literature, the performances continue a legacy of showcasing works by masters such as Shakespeare, Molière, Wilde, and other remarkable playwrights.

Coffee and Connections

Coffee Cart is a welcoming monthly tradition hosted by MacLaren’s Parent Service Association (PSA), offering parents a chance to connect during morning drop‑off on the first Friday of each month. Parents this month gathered with their favorite mugs in hand to enjoy fresh coffee, friendly conversation, and a few unhurried moments together before the school day began.

Beat the Chill

The Winter Wonderland Social brought high school students together for a fun and festive evening filled with activity and laughter. Students rotated between lively rounds of Just Dance, crowd‑pleasing karaoke, a make‑your‑own soda float station, and an assortment of board games perfect for friendly competition. The mix of upbeat energy and relaxed hangout created a warm and memorable atmosphere.
