This year's junior class delighted audiences with their performance of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream on October 9 and 10.
All MacLaren students take drama in eleventh and twelfth grades. The ultimate goal of the drama program is to take a great story and tell it beautifully via an ensemble production. To that end, students participate in creating dramatic performance with their voices, bodies, movement, and production skills. The students take part in all aspects of the production including acting, set design, costume design, lighting, and poster design. The repertoire emphasizes excellent works of literature; past performances include the works of Shakespeare, Sophocles, Henrik Ibsen, Oscar Wilde, and many other excellent but lesser-known playwrights.
