Application
- Age Limits – All performers should be between 15 and 29 years old (born between 1991 and 2005).

- Number of Participants – The number of participants in each dance group should not exceed 23 persons, including a maximum of 3 staff members.

- Application Deadline – From now until 15th October 2019

- Application Method – Application can be made online. Fill in and upload all the necessary information before the application deadline.
Selection
- In order to present diverse performances to the audience, the organizer reserves the right to select the appropriate groups to participate in the Festival.
- Confirmation Letter – Under normal circumstances, confirmation letters will be sent in January 2020.
Performances
- Each dance group will be required to participate in indoor performances, outdoor performances and a parade. Details of the performances are as follows:
7.1 Indoor performances (to be held at night): the dance of each group should be within 8 minutes in length;
7.2 Outdoor performances (to be held in the evening): the dance of each group should be within 5 minutes in length;.
7.3 Parade (to be held in the evening): the parade will last for about 1.5 hours, with 2 to 3 show points along the route. The time for performing at each show point will be no more than 1 minutes.
- Requirements of Costumes – During actual performance, dancers have to wear their national/ traditional costumes or performance costumes. If the costumes are considered to have violated the principles of the Macau International Dance Festival or have carried political elements, the organizer reserves the right not to allow the dancers to wear the costumes during actual performance without advance notice.

- Scenery and Props – All dance groups have to prepare their own scenery and props for each performance. If the scenery and props are considered to have violated the principles of the Macau International Dance Festival or have carried political elements, the organizer reserves the right to restrict the use of the scenery and props without advance notice.
Activities
To achieve the goal of “cultivating friendship and youth exchange”, the organizer will provide the following activities for the dance groups of the Macau International Dance Festival:
- Artistic Performance Workshops – The organizer will provide venues for non-local dance groups to hold artistic performance workshops, so as to provide them with opportunities to exchange with and learn from each other, as well as to show their talents. The organizer will provide venues and basic audio equipment, while dance groups have to prepare other necessary materials by themselves. Duration of each workshop is 2 hours.
- Cultural tour – A complimentary cultural tour will be arranged by the organizer for all dance groups.
Support from the Organizer
- Transport – All dance groups are to be responsible for the travel arrangements and expenses to and from Macau. The organizer will provide local transport services for all dance groups to the venues of activities arranged by the organizer during the Festival.

- Accommodation – The organizer will provide twin-room or triple-room accommodation to all non-local dance groups for 8 nights (between 16th and 24th July 2020).

- Meal Allowance – During the eight-day Festival (the arrival day and the departure day together are counted as one day), each member of non-local dance groups will receive a daily meal allowance of MOP300.00 (around USD37.00). The organizer reserves the right to determine the amount of allowance according to the actual period of stay of each member.

- Insurance – Each participant is required to arrange his/her own travel medical insurance during his/her stay in Macau. The organizer will only bear the medical insurance cost incurred by the participant due to accidents occurring while participating in activities arranged by the organizer.
Rules to Be Observed by Dance Groups
The participating dance groups should
- follow the scheduled programs; addition, cancellation or alteration of programs is not allowed.
- attend all relevant activities arranged by the organizer.
- stay in Macau during the Festival; the dance group which fails to do so should bear all possible consequences.
- follow the arrangements and instructions given by staff members of the organizer.
- be punctual for all activities; late arrival or early leave is not allowed.
- avoid holding or participating in any public political or religious activities during the Festival.
- cooperate with the organizer to achieve a successful Festival.
Rights of the festival
The festival reserves the right to
- film and take photos of the performances and related activities, as well as to publish relevant materials.
- cancel or change the activity schedule or programs if necessary.
- make final decisions on all matters related to the Festival and final interpretation of the terms in the Rules and Regulations.
