2019 Australia Jewish Snow Sports Championships
Entries are now open for the 2019 Michael Coppel Theatrical Australian Jewish Snow Sports Championships . The Championships will be held at Mt Buller on 28 & 29 July . The event, presented by AJAX Ski Club in conjunction with Maccabi , is for skiers and snowboarders of all ages.
Last year over 100 competitors raced on a great cover of snow. The competitors from New South Wales & Victoria competed in a slalom event for both skiing and snowboarding, across six age groups. There was some extremely close racing with some exceptional performances.
This year’s race will be held on the Skyline racecourse with each competitor doing two runs each. The times for the two runs are combined to give each racer an overall time. The competitors with the fastest times in each divisions will be awarded the championship, with second and third placings being acknowledged with minor trophies.
