Friday 23 November marks the annual Victorian Walk Against Family Violence.
Now in its 10
year, the Walk aims to raise awareness of the impact of family violence on the community and remember those who have lost their lives.
Maccabi Victoria is pleased to partner with a range of community organisations including Jewish Care Victoria, the Jewish Community Council of Victoria, Progressive Judaism Victoria, NCJWA (Vic), the Rabbinical Council of Victoria, Maccabi Victoria, Tzedek, Impact, Unchain my Heart, Pathways Melbourne, AUJS and the Australian Jewish News, to walk together and send a clear message that our community says no to family violence.
Following an address from Lord Mayor Sally Capp, the Walk will proceed from Federation Square into the CBD before concluding at 1.30pm. The theme colour for the Walk is orange and all ages, abilities and fitness levels are welcome.
All members of our community are encouraged to join the Walk Against Family Violence – we hope to see you there! Look for our community banner at Federation Square from 12.00pm.
