As another unforgettable day at the 2026 Maccabiah came to a close, the US Delegation continued to shine both on and off the field. From exciting competition across Israel to a meaningful Yakir Award ceremony honoring those who have made a lasting impact on the Maccabi Movement, the day celebrated excellence, leadership, and the power of our global Jewish community.

Yakir Maccabi Award Ceremony

Yesterday's Yakir Maccabi Award Ceremony honored extraordinary leaders whose lifelong dedication has helped shape and strengthen the global Maccabi Movement. Presented once every four years, Maccabi World Union's prestigious Yakir Maccabi Award recognizes individuals whose decades of selfless leadership, commitment, and passion have left a lasting impact on Jewish sports and communities around the world. As athletes and supporters gathered to celebrate these remarkable honorees, the ceremony served as a powerful reminder that the spirit of Maccabi is built not only by those who compete, but also by those who dedicate their lives to making the movement thrive.

We celebrate those who were honored for all they have done to build the Maccabi Movement to what it is today.
